Dr. Francesca Scognamiglio is an accomplished biomedical scientist with expertise in biomaterials, formulation science, and translational research. She holds a PhD in Nanotechnology (Doctor Europaeus) from the University of Trieste, along with BSc and MSc degrees in Medical Biotechnology awarded with highest honors.

Dr. Scognamiglio has an extensive research experience in developing and characterizing polymer-based biomaterials and biologically active formulations, spanning the field of biochemistry and material science. She authored 21 peer-reviewed publications and a named inventor on a biomedical patent.

At PMT Italia, she supports formulation development, analytical characterization, and preclinical program execution, helping advance PMT’s Parkinson’s therapeutic toward cGMP manufacturing and EMA-aligned development.
